Um, where is Blur’s Parklife in that list? I’m not saying it’s the best album of the past 30 years, but it’s a lot better than Keane, Duffy, or Dido.

I liked alot of other wreck chords over brothers in arms and a few others listed but like I think Dekooning said , ” critics are birdwatchers to birds “….but really a 10-12 min version of mid life krysis would be some kina awesome….I had brought whats the story to the studio the other day but everyone wanted to hear a catholic education instead ….best of luck though
This could stir up more interest in Travis.
Funny though : I used to get a lift to work from a guy who was in his 60s,and he played brothers in arms (in his car) at 7am every day for 5 about years.
He said it was the best thing he had ever heard.
Must admit, it was a great way to start the day. And i never got fed up with it.
So yeah, i love that album. Its a classic.

I visited the website to vote and found out that only people in UK and US are allowed to vote. If it is just for UK or open to any other country in the world, I’d understand, but this is… I just don’t get it.

My second option would without a doubt have been Dire Straits too.
But I think Oasis might just have the most loyal “oasis-blasphemists”-striking fans.

Voted! ( although this was not my fav Travis but I love it as much as the rest )
Congratulations! I have to admit that right now, I am feeling a little star-struck, considering the background picture on my cell phone shows little me sandwiched in between half of the band [you and Andy] that received this prestigious nomination. In most cases, I would be divided among a few on that list; though Travis is my favorite, I am also a huge Dire Straits and Richard Ashcroft/Verve fan. The tie, however, is easily broken. My vote goes to the guys that took the time to meet and hug me in Cleveland. Phenomenal album to be sure, but in addition, the live experience can’t be beat. That being said, when you release your album, you should come back to the Grog Shop.
Try to imagine a mountain road full of switchbacks that take you to a mountain (Monte Rosa) in the Italian Alps. Cold, snow and the desire to spend a weekend with yourself and a few good friends to 3500 meters altitude. This was the moment when I truly discovered this album, the best album ever made by a band in my opinion. This is “the man who” for me. I still remember the wind and my walk with the Walkman listening LUV !!!
