Try to imagine a mountain road full of switchbacks that take you to a mountain (Monte Rosa) in the Italian Alps. Cold, snow and the desire to spend a weekend with yourself and a few good friends to 3500 meters altitude. This was the moment when I truly discovered this album, the best album ever made by a band in my opinion. This is “the man who” for me. I still remember the wind and my walk with the Walkman listening LUV !!!

Thanks Fran, for making this record.

Even now I’m trying desperately the vinyl version. Sooner or later it will be MINE !!!

Congratulations! I have to admit that right now, I am feeling a little star-struck, considering the background picture on my cell phone shows little me sandwiched in between half of the band [you and Andy] that received this prestigious nomination. In most cases, I would be divided among a few on that list; though Travis is my favorite, I am also a huge Dire Straits and Richard Ashcroft/Verve fan. The tie, however, is easily broken. My vote goes to the guys that took the time to meet and hug me in Cleveland. Phenomenal album to be sure, but in addition, the live experience can’t be beat. That being said, when you release your album, you should come back to the Grog Shop.
