As well as Vampire Weekend Week, another great album came out.

Laura Veirs‘s July Flame. Could be her best album yet.

She rocks! Galaxies should be one of my all time favorites. Shall be digging this with my ears salivating. Merci.

Thanks for the recommendation. I hadn’t ever heard her music, and checked her out. Very excited as I will have some great new stuff on my i pod to break up the monotony of the work day and sing along with in my car. Should be a fun Friday – especially for those who will watch me singing alone in my car.
Yesterday I turned to Morrissey; he was quite helpful, although he tends to be a bit mean, creeping into people’s thoughts like a bad debt that they can’t pay and all. The day before, Vivaldi was there for me, along with his pal Mozart; they don’t have much to say, but their music speaks volumes and helps me focus. Tuesday was polluted with meetings and quite depressing as it was a day without music. Monday, Camera Obscura’s melancholy cheer whisked away my blues over the end of another weekend.
