Love. This was great live at the Greek last night, and equally great on recording. Like I said on the Spin site, this is much, much more significant than just killing time until the next Travis album; this is really great stuff.

Oy! Do you have an album coming out soon?? I am absolutely loving “Buttercups”!! My hubby and I met you and Andy last October at the Largo at the Coronet (in LA) and it was honestly the most fantastic concert we had been to. It was definitely a much needed show for us (I had just been diagnosed with a rare disease and was in the process of it all) and it made us forget all our troubles for the time being! I was so embarrassed to meet you guys because my face was so swollen (due to bad side effects from all the medications I had to be on), but you guys were so kind and down to earth that I put my vain concerns aside. It was a long drive back to San Diego (where we live), but we listened to all your songs all the way back with big smiles! Thank you for creating such beautiful music for all these years and I can’t wait to hear more!!! <3

I wasn’t going to listen to any of the tracks of Wreckorder until the album release… but since you are giving us permission to do it, and when I said that I wouldn’t listen to any song I meant the YouTube recordings (hehe), so I will do it. It’s the single, so I guess we’re allowed to have at least a listen, right?

I have this one technical question. Will Wreckorder be released world wide? I’ve been trying to find out something about its release in Argentina but with no luck.

You have no idea just how happy it makes me to finally listen to one of the songs you’ve been working on. I didn’t know what to expect from a solo album and now I can honestly say that the single sounds 100% like you.
Gotta love the shift from slow to fast when the chorus breaks. You’ve never lost the gift of storytelling through songs and music. There are no words to describe the feeling that comes with the first listen.
I can’t wait to have Wreckorder in my hands… (I hope it won’t take too long to be released in Uruguay).

When I first heard the title of this single, the first thought I had was of the Willa Wonka & the Chocolate Factory movie (original w/Gene Wilder). There is a scene when the lucky Golden Ticket holders first enter Wonka World and they are in a magical garden where everything is edible. Anyways, Mr. Wonka picks up a buttercup (more like a cup and less like the flower) from a bush and takes a bite out of it! It was probably white chocolate with a yellow hue, but it looked like the most delicious thing ever! Just thought you’d like to know
