Leaving

20 July 2010

Just about to leave for SanFrancisco. I’ll be keeping a diary on here. Stay tuned…

My apartment is clean. It was the opposite about 6 hours ago. Things can get messy quickly. It’s just one big room so there’s no escaping the mess. The dishes were stacked high. But after a long clean it’s beautiful. I just have to finish packing my bag and then i’ll be set. I watched a movie called Crash tonight. I remember about 5 years ago someone telling me i should go see it. I never did. I think the title put me off. Anyways it was VERY good. If you haven’t seen it you should check it out. WOW!

Man 1.51am… I am leaving at 6am. Just waiting for a bunch of pictures to download from my camera and then I can pack that away. Then pack this computer away. Then pack me away.

OK. See you maybe on the road.

Will your family get a chance to fly out to see you during the tour?

Putting the Fran in San Francisco.

I haven’t seen Crash but I read the Wiki page you linked and I recognised the directors name; Paul Haggis. He was credited on the series called Due South. Do you remember it? It was about a Canadian Mountie and his deaf wolf Diefenbaker. I loved that show! Have fun. xxx

I just discovered about Wreckorder and can’t hardly wait for the release of the album! :)

I work as a music video director in my country, and if there was a chance, I’d really like to direct your first video as a solo artist, it would be such an honor, hope it does happen!

Have you seen Amores Perros (2000)? I think Crash was a rip off of the Mexican story… And HBO also made a TV series based on the American movie.
Anyways, good luck on the road and keep us posted!

Since I’m not the tidiest person in the world when it comes to keep my room clean, there’s always a big mess but it’s worse when I’m about to leave on a trip. However, I must admit it, it’s kind of depressing when I go back home and found this mess that I HAVE to clean. There’s no escape :P .
The first time I watched Crash I really liked, and the stories made a huge impact on me. The second and third time were so different, the acting still was good, but I was no longer convinced about the plot. Anyways I do believe is a good movie. However I also think that (as Ana pointed out) Amores perros is way much better… and I’m not saying this just because I’m Mexican, eh! :o P
Good luck with the tour and be safe! xx

  19. if you’re going to san francisco
be sure to wear some flowers in your hair……

    Guten Tag Mr Healy,
Typical – I’ve been meaning to email you for a while now (pretty much since I heard you had arrived in Berlin) but I didn’t get round to it til today, when I see you won’t be here for a while.

You may not remember me, but we shared a lift (elevator for the American readers I believe!) – at the Radisson Hotel in Glasgow once. You remember? Great! We didn’t actually speak but one of you did fart. So now it’s pay back time. Ha ha.

I will try to keep track of you in your diary and maybe we can catch up when you get back. I have two interesting projects I am working on – one with climate (10:10) and one with English Theatre Berlin. Both lots of fun and in need of some good music :-) Have a great tour and say hi to Keane. They were also at the hotel the same time I think – along with basment jaxx of all people…

    Love Katie
